Seniors Aquatic Program

The Accessible Seniors Aquatic Program is a class for seniors who have mobility concerns and need to exercise in a safe, closely supervised environment.
Session 1: September 14, 2010 Wellness Pool, Boys' and Girls' Club of London 184 Horton St, London Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2pm
Cost: $25.00 for Horton St Senior Centre members or $35.00 for non-members

Stepping Out Safely - “Common Senses”

The goal of “Stepping Out Safely” is to reduce falls and fall injuries among older adults in Middlesex-London through education, skills building, and community collaboration.
This year’s theme is “Common Senses”.

Fully Alive is a 10-week program on well-being for Seniors, which will meet on Mondays:
Monday, October 4 - December 13, 2010 (No Session Oct. 11th – Thanksgiving) Hamilton Road Seniors Centre 525 Hamilton Rd, London 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Sessions include:
- Achieving a balance between caring for self and caring for others
- Improving self-esteem and coping with change
- Exercises to improve mobility and independence
- Learning to express feelings, cope with stress and recognize signs of depression
- Recognizing grief as a normal part of healing after a loss
- Examining the nature of loneliness, cultivating solitude and building new relationships
- Making plans for the future!
